From tropical beaches to icy peaks, Camille Kostek has proven she can make any backdrop sizzle. For the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, the veteran model took to the snowy wonderland of Saas-Fee, Switzerland, to fulfill a personal dream. Between jaw-dropping fashion moments and a nod to legendary SI history, Kostek shared the two unforgettable looks that stood out in a shoot like no other.
A legendary moment in the snow
Camille Kostek’s journey with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is nothing short of iconic. After co-winning the first-ever SI Swim Search in 2018, gracing her first cover in 2019, and becoming an SI Swimsuit Legend in 2024, she reached yet another milestone this year—shooting in a winter setting, a personal bucket list item inspired by Kate Upton’s memorable Antarctica shoot in 2013.
“Shooting in Switzerland this year was a dream come true,” Kostek said on the red carpet during the 2025 issue’s official launch. “I admired Kate Upton’s 2013 cover in Antarctica and was like, ‘Will they ever entertain another winter shoot?’ So when I got the call for this year, I was so excited.”
Set against the crisp white snow of Saas-Fee’s alpine vistas, the shoot challenged traditional notions of swimwear, transforming bikinis into statements of bold contrast, color, and style. Yet even among the eye-catching ensembles she wore, two looks rose to the top for Kostek as her personal favorites.
Blue ice and red heat: A fashion favorite
Kostek’s first standout moment was an icy ensemble that mixed practicality with bold fashion. “MJ [Day, editor in chief] and Margot [Zamet, fashion editor] were very intentional with one of my looks,” she recalled. “It was ice blue and red, which are my favorite colors of all time.”
That intentionality paid off. Wearing a shimmering light blue triangle bikini from iconic designer Norma Kamali, Kostek was wrapped in a luxe, matching blue fur coat that offered a striking visual contrast to the snowy backdrop. But the true statement piece? A pair of bright cherry-red INUIKII moon boots that added the perfect pop of color and rugged edge. “It was really tiny, icy blue bikini with the red moon boot and a big blue fur jacket,” she said with a grin. “I just loved how it all came together.”
The look effortlessly balanced high fashion with playful nostalgia, showcasing Kostek’s ability to bring warmth and vibrancy even to a subzero setting. It also underscored her continued collaboration with the SI Swimsuit team, who crafted the look with her personal taste in mind.
Metallic glam on a snowmobile
As unforgettable as the blue-and-red ensemble was, it was Kostek’s snowmobile moment that truly left her speechless. “I also really loved my look on the snowmobile,” she said. “It was just like nothing else I’ve ever shot.”
Sitting confidently astride the sleek machine, Kostek wore a dazzling bronze sequin bikini—another standout from Norma Kamali—paired with a chic black-and-gold ski suit by Goldbergh. The mix of glamour and adventure, sparkle and utility, created a visual narrative of power and poise.
This second look cemented her ability to embody both a fashion muse and an action-ready heroine. While the shimmering sequins caught the light, the sturdy ski suit hinted at a woman who’s as ready to ride into the wilderness as she is to strike a pose for the cover.
The snowmobile scene was not only a stylistic high point but also symbolic of Kostek’s evolving image with the brand: dynamic, versatile, and always pushing boundaries.
A shoot to remember
Camille Kostek’s presence in the 2025 issue is a reminder that SI Swimsuit is as much about redefining beauty as it is about showcasing the environments that elevate it. Joining fellow models Elisha and Renee Herbert, as well as Hunter McGrady, in Saas-Fee, Kostek embraced the fusion of fashion, sport, and nature that made the shoot unforgettable. Meanwhile, Jasmine Sanders and Penny Lane brought their own winter magic in Zurich, proving that this year’s issue leaned heavily into unexpected locations and styling.
But for Kostek, the Switzerland shoot wasn’t just about capturing stunning images—it was about realizing a long-held dream and continuing to evolve as a face of the franchise. From icy elegance to metallic boldness, her favorite looks prove one thing: no matter the setting, Camille Kostek knows how to steal the show.
