Hairstylist Alin sketching the flow of water on the hair at Greenlife Legacy 2025

Must read

On the evening of September 11 in Hanoi, the Greenlife Legacy 2025 art event officially opened, taking the audience on a journey through the theme “Four Elements, Sustainable Green Legacy” with four chapters: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. Among them, Chapter II – WATER: The Flow of Resurrection left a powerful impression with the performance of hair artist Alin Tran—founder of Alin Hair Studio—who presented three meticulously crafted hair designs that captured the essence of water through masterful aesthetics and technical artistry.

The first design combined long hair in shimmering aqua-silver tones, creating a gradient effect reminiscent of moonlit waves on the sea. Alin blended deep blue into bright silver, giving the hair depth and vitality. Gentle waves and layered cuts added bounce while framing the face, evoking the sense of continuous motion like crashing surf. Paired with a multilayered organza gown in flowing blue hues, the overall image embodied a “water goddess” gracing the runway.

The second design recalled an endless silver waterfall. Long, center-parted hair was treated with a cool brown base and silver highlights. Alin softened the color transitions to keep the look fluid and organic. The hair’s surface was sleek and straight, yet retained subtle volume inside thanks to precise layering. Under the lights, each reflective strand harmonized perfectly with a silver gown crafted from hundreds of metallic threads, symbolizing water’s renewal, strength, and restorative power.

The third look featured an asymmetrical bob, cut with exacting precision to maintain balance and structure. This high-fashion style reflected the collection’s forward-looking spirit. The inner layers carried a champagne-gold shade infused with platinum undertones, making the hair glow under the spotlight. On the outside, Alin applied a glossy, wet finish that gave the impression of emerging directly from water—fresh and modern. Paired with a sculptural white outfit adorned with 3D goldfish accents, the hairstyle became the bridge between softness and boldness, a metaphor for water’s ever-changing power: at times gentle and embracing, at others fierce and unrestrained.

Reflecting on his performance, Alin shared: “Greenlife Legacy is a green program for the hair industry, but it is also fierce because of artists like us on stage. For me, water is not only life but also a symbol of healing and rebirth. I wanted to convey that spirit through every cut and every layer of color.”

With three designs rich in artistry and technique, Alin delivered an experience that was both visually striking and deeply meaningful. His fusion of international techniques—precision cuts, sombre, balayage, metallic finishes—with a contemporary aesthetic philosophy underscored his pioneering role in bringing Vietnam’s hair industry into deeper alignment with the global creative stage.
