Must read

Young model Kim Dohee, born in 2019, will be one of the international participants taking part in the runway presentations of Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026 this summer. This year’s edition marks a comprehensive transformation following eight years of development, bringing together more than 30 fashion brands from various countries around the world. Scheduled to appear on the second day of the event, the young South Korean model aims to bring a touch of youthful innocence and positive energy to the international stage. Her upcoming experience in Hanoi is expected to help nurture her confidence, independence, and personal growth from an early age.

A space for cultural exchange among young Asian models

In recent years, children’s fashion activities have continued to grow across many Asian countries. Beyond showcasing new collections, these platforms also provide opportunities for children to become familiar with the artistic environment through activities that are appropriate for their age.

For many young models, participating in a fashion program is an opportunity to build confidence in front of an audience, learn how to work with peers, and experience new things. Each child brings a unique personality to the stage, contributing to a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

Kim Dohee’s participation in Hanoi is also part of such an experience. Traveling from South Korea to Vietnam, she will have the opportunity to meet new friends and become familiar with a performance environment outside her home country. Rather than the pressure of a competition, the program aims to create a friendly cultural space that helps children integrate easily into an international community.

Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026: An international-caliber fashion stage

Originally established as Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week in 2018, this year’s event marks a new stage of development after eight years of growth. The program has officially been upgraded into a fashion week operating under an integrated structure, connecting three creative communities—All Stars, Junior, and Student—on a shared platform.

The event is organized as part of a strategic partnership with Vietnam Event and Exhibition Week 2026 (VEEW). With its runway set on the main stage of the Vietnam Exhibition Centre (VEC), one of Southeast Asia’s largest exhibition complexes, the program is positioned as an international fashion highlight that combines cultural aesthetics with the experience economy.

This year’s edition brings together more than 30 brands, designers, and showcasing organizations from countries and regions including the United States, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam. The participation of hundreds of male and female international pageant titleholders, and official delegations creates a professional networking environment for the creative industry.

A solid base of experience

Born in 2019, Kim Dohee entered the South Korean fashion scene through a natural love for stage lights and performing in front of an audience. However, the appeal of this young star has always been entirely separate from notions of achievement or professional pressure. Audiences remember Dohee for her bright smile, relaxed demeanor, and genuine charm that is perfectly suited to her age.

Before officially traveling to Vietnam, Kim Dohee had already gained valuable experience through reputable programs such as Seoul Visual Fashion 2024 and Asia Kids Open Runway Seoul. These early platforms served as important stepping stones, helping the seven-year-old become familiar with body movement, camera interaction, and adapting quickly to the rhythm of music.

A strict training regime and preparation

At present, Kim Dohee is undergoing careful preparation with her family and team in South Korea to become familiar with maintaining distance and controlling her pace on a long runway. Alongside her training, her family has also established a well-balanced daily routine to ensure an appropriate balance between professional preparation and time for play and rest at home. Following time schedules, training plans, and managing her personal belongings during the upcoming trip will serve as practical lessons in independence and responsibility for the young model from an early age.

After completing her runway activities in Hanoi in early August, Kim Dohee will return to the everyday life of a kindergarten student in South Korea. The skills and experiences gained from the event will become valuable assets, helping her build confidence in both her studies and future group activities at school.
