Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 will take place on 29–30 November 2025 at the Vinpearl Vu Yen Equestrian Academy (Hai Phong), marking the first time Vietnam hosts a professional equestrian tournament according to the standards of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). The event establishes a structured competitive environment, helping young athletes access modern training models domestically. Creating a tournament with a clear structure is seen as a foundation for gradually building a next-generation athlete pool in equestrian sports, aiming for long-term and more stable development in the future.
Opening up exposure opportunities for the young generation
Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 takes place in the context of a growing demand among Vietnamese children to access new sports. Hosting the tournament in Hai Phong allows parents and students to observe the competitions directly, rather than only through media coverage.

In addition to the competitions, the program is expected to offer family-oriented activities such as photo sessions with the horses, visits to the fair area, and outdoor experiences. These elements give children the opportunity to engage with the sport in a more natural and hands-on way.

Many observers note that incorporating equestrian sports into a public event helps shift perceptions, gradually making it a valuable athletic option for young participants.
A competition model operated to international standards
The tournament at Vinpearl Vu Yen is conducted according to FEI standards, from the layout of the competition arena to the evaluation methods. The two main events, Show Jumping and Gymkhana, both require riders to maintain precise coordination with their horses.

In Show Jumping, athletes must clear obstacles 70–80 cm high following a technical course. Each jump, landing direction, and speed adjustment directly affects the ranking. Gymkhana, on the other hand, focuses on the ability to navigate slalom, zigzag, gait transitions, and circular patterns.
The international judging panel directly oversees the evaluation, ensuring results are based on clear criteria. Applying international competition standards in Vietnam provides athletes with the opportunity to gain experience in a professional environment without having to travel abroad.
A tri-tier system for transparent development routes
The tournament is divided into three groups based on skill level and training objectives:
- Children’s Group (Basic Gymkhana): trains steering skills, following patterns, and maintaining a steady rhythm when passing ground-level poles.

- Amateur Group (Advanced Gymkhana): adds requirements such as slalom, zigzag, gait transitions, and speed control within tight circles.

- Professional Group (70–80 cm Show Jumping): for athletes with formal training, demonstrating obstacle-jumping techniques according to international competition standards.

This tiered structure allows participants to set long-term goals. Total prizes worth hundreds of millions of dong are awarded across the groups, recognizing the specific efforts of the athletes. Many coaches believe that organizing the competition along a continuous development pathway will help build a sustainable pool of young equestrian athletes.
Seamless cooperation and partnership system
Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 is organized and implemented by the Vinpearl Vu Yen Equestrian Academy in coordination with On Connect Holdings JSC. The Hai Phong City Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation (Hai Phong City) support recruitment and program promotion.

The list of sponsors includes Vinpearl Horse Academy Vu Yen (Main Sponsor), On Global Holdings (Platinum Sponsor), On Beauty Global and On Edu Global (Gold Sponsors), along with partner brands and media supporters from various sectors. Participation from multiple organizations provides a stable organizational foundation and helps the event reach a broader audience.
Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 not only marks the debut of a professional equestrian tournament in Vietnam but also opens a pathway for the long-term development of young athletes. The event is expected to offer direct access to Show Jumping and Gymkhana competitions in Hai Phong, while contributing to the establishment of a structured training foundation for the domestic equestrian community.
